About the position

The Digital Librarian Intern at Lumen will play a crucial role in the Network Engineering team by migrating applications from outdated storage solutions to a centralized SharePoint library. This internship aims to consolidate and organize documentation for better accessibility and data mining, particularly for Microsoft CoPilot. The intern will also develop a reusable strategy for document organization and migration, collaborating with various teams to ensure a smooth transition and providing training to users on the new system.

Responsibilities

  • Migrate applications from old storage solutions to a single SharePoint library.
  • Consolidate and organize documentation for easy data mining.
  • Design a reusable strategy for document organization and migration.
  • Identify and analyze existing sources and types of documentation.
  • Implement a document migration strategy that preserves content and metadata.
  • Test and validate the document migration and library structure.
  • Provide training and support for documentation users and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, with rising senior level education status at the start of the internship.
  • Graduating between August 2025 and May 2027.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week during the 10-week program (May 30 - August 8, 2025).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Copilot.
  • Understanding of Microsoft SharePoint.

Benefits

  • Hourly compensation ranging from $22.00 to $35.00 per hour based on education and experience.
