About the position

The Digital Visualizer Intern position at Kohler Co. is a summer internship focused on integrating and testing VR (Virtual Reality) and XR (Extended Reality) technologies within the Global Design team. The intern will assist in enhancing digital business capabilities by exploring innovative design processes that leverage these cutting-edge technologies. This role offers hands-on experience in a collaborative environment, contributing to the future of design at Kohler.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Global Design team to conceptualize and implement VR/XR applications in the design process.
• Develop immersive experiences to visualize design concepts and prototypes in virtual spaces.
• Evaluate and optimize VR/XR tools for usability, scalability, and effectiveness in real-world design scenarios.
• Assist in creating documentation and training materials for VR/XR technology adoption.
• Conduct user testing and gather feedback to iterate on solutions and ensure alignment with team goals.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree, or recent graduate (within 1 year), in Design, Computer Science, Virtual/Augmented Reality, Digital Media, or a related field.
• Proficiency in VR/XR tools and platforms such as Unity, Unreal Engine, or similar.
• Strong understanding of 3D modeling, rendering, and visualization software (e.g., Blender, Rhino, 3ds Max).
• Passion for innovation and a keen interest in leveraging technology to enhance design processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
