About the position

This part-time internship at Sierra Lobo offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in test engineering at NASA's White Sands Test Facility. Interns will work closely with senior engineers to learn about the installation, maintenance, and operation of various systems related to research test programs.

Responsibilities

• Mentor with senior level engineers to gain exposure to test engineering in all areas.
• Learn about the installation, maintenance, and operation of electrical, electronic, instrumentation, mechanical, cryogenic, and vacuum systems as they relate to research test programs.

Requirements

• Must be working towards a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and be in your sophomore, junior, or senior year.
• Candidates must exhibit an interest in test engineering at the NASA White Sands Test Facility.
• Outstanding communication skills are a must.
• Knowledge of PLCs, electrical and mechanical process systems, and general instrumentation is a plus.
• Must be familiar with Microsoft Office.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
