About The Position

As an Intern in Electrical Engineering at Volvo Group, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of sustainable transport solutions. This position is designed for students who are eager to apply their engineering skills in a real-world setting, specifically focusing on the development of tools, methods, processes, hardware, and software components related to automated testing and driver electronics. You will be part of the Vehicle Engineering (VE) team, which is integral to the Volvo Group Trucks Technology (GTT) division. This division is responsible for the integration and development of technologies into complete trucks for all brands within the Volvo Group, ensuring high quality and competitive time to market. In this role, you will engage in hands-on work with automotive electronic components, control units, and wiring. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting and designing electronic circuit boards, as well as writing embedded software in various programming languages such as C, C#, and Python. You will also be expected to adhere to agile processes and engineering standards, which will help you maintain efficient, organized, reusable, and reliable hardware and software. This commitment to quality and performance is essential for the success of the products you will be working on. The internship is not just about technical skills; it is also about collaboration and personal development.
