The Summer Intern session spans 12 weeks, offering a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday. In contrast, our Co-op cohorts typically run for 16 weeks during the Spring and Fall semesters. Both programs are designed to be enriching experiences, where students are compensated with a competitive hourly rate. Throughout their time with us, interns and co-ops can participate in a variety of events, including Lunch and Learns, social outings, and volunteer opportunities, fostering a sense of community and engagement within the company. As an intern, you will assist Symbotic's Electrical Engineering team in developing, documenting, testing, building, and debugging the latest technologies utilized in our autonomous bots. You will also support the test teams as needed and collaborate with cross-functional teams to verify designs and resolve any issues that arise. This role is an excellent opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in a cutting-edge technological environment while contributing to meaningful projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Electrical Engineering team with developing, documenting, testing, building, and debugging technologies used on autonomous bots.
  • Support the test teams where applicable.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to verify designs and resolve issues.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with basic lab equipment such as scopes, meters, and power supplies.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiar with engineering design tools like Orcad, Autocad, or similar.
  • Comfortable with presenting to peers, cross-functional teams, and senior team members.
