As an Intern Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and verification of custom electrical assemblies and interconnects. This position involves full-stack development of mixed signal printed circuit boards (PCBs) that contain high-speed digital circuitry, embedded systems, power conversion, and related technologies, along with associated chassis and interface wiring design. You will utilize electrical design tools such as Altium and PSpice to perform engineering tasks, converting technical requirements into schematic diagrams, printed circuit board layouts, and assembly drawings. Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and designs will be essential to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards. You will prepare technical drawings and specifications of electrical systems to ensure that installations and operations conform to standards and customer requirements. In this role, you will assist System Architects in researching, designing, and evaluating systems and processes to meet customer requirements, ensuring that designs are producible and error-free. You will provide component-level review and in-depth electrical troubleshooting support for products in Manufacturing and Technical Services, as well as assist the Sales department. Investigating electrical equipment failures or difficulties to diagnose faulty operations and recommend remedial actions will also be part of your responsibilities. You will design, implement, maintain, or improve electrical equipment, components, products, or systems for commercial, industrial, or military purposes. Additionally, you will develop or test electrical models of alternate designs or processing methods to assess feasibility, sustainability, and potential new applications. Directing or coordinating electrical manufacturing and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications and customer requirements will be crucial. You will compile data and write reports regarding existing or potential electrical engineering studies or projects, and design electrical test control apparatus or equipment for testing products. Performing detailed electrical calculations to establish manufacturing standards or specifications will also be required.
