About the position

The Electrical Engineering System Design Intern position at General Atomics offers undergraduate students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the Aircraft Systems team. The intern will assist in various tasks related to electrical system analysis and contribute to the development of reports and diagrams while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the day-to-day activities of the assigned functional area under general supervision.
• Assists in applying knowledge to analyze, investigate, and resolve problems.
• Helps in developing electronic and hard copy reports, records, diagrams, and charts.
• Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations during business operations.
• Expected to work safely in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Requirements

• Active enrollment as an undergraduate student at a recognized college or university.
• Completion of undergraduate degree by the time the internship begins, with plans to continue in a graduate program immediately after the internship.
• 3.0 cumulative GPA preferred.
• Ability to understand new concepts and apply them accurately.
• Ability to follow general and detailed instructions as well as organizational policies and procedures.
• Basic communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with internal professionals.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Basic computer skills.
