About the position

The Intern Engineering position at Parker Hannifin Corporation is designed for students enrolled in a Bachelor's or advanced degree program in engineering. The role involves participating in the engineering intern development program, where interns will learn about various engineering functions, engage in design and evaluation of production processes, and contribute to product testing and manufacturing operations under direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the Parker engineering intern development program to learn various aspects of the engineering function.
• Engage in the design and evaluation of production processes for new and existing components.
• Provide improvements in cost and enhance performance through engineering principles.
• Create and conduct product testing procedures.
• Facilitate manufacturing operations using fundamental engineering principles.
• Acquire knowledge of various engineering department operations and workflows.
• Observe work assignments performed by others and participate in hands-on projects.
• Use engineering skills to conduct analysis and modeling, engage in product design, and execute testing procedures.
• Maintain communication with program coach/mentor to provide feedback on assignments and program improvements.
• Attend related training and apply it in work assignments.
• Perform other related responsibilities.

Requirements

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or advanced degree program in a related engineering field such as Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Ability to work effectively in a variety of engineering and manufacturing assignments.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team member.
