The Intern Events Specialist will be responsible for planning and executing engaging campus and internal events for the College Relations program at Land O'Lakes. This role involves collaborating with campus recruiters, managing student club partnerships, and spearheading sponsorship initiatives to enhance the company's brand visibility among college students. The position also includes organizing summer intern programming and campus engagement activities to foster connections and build community among students and interns.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with campus recruiters to strategize, manage registrations, and execute engaging events.
• Build relationships with key student organizations and create opportunities for collaboration.
• Spearhead impactful programs tied to investments in early talent, such as campus career weeks and diversity conferences.
• Research opportunities to boost Land O'Lakes' brand visibility.
• Manage budget and resources effectively while evaluating the ROI of partnerships.
• Track success metrics and share insights on event effectiveness.
• Drive the development of enriching experiences for summer interns, focusing on professional growth and networking.
• Plan and execute in-person summer intern orientation and wrap-up events.
• Organize a thoughtful schedule of events for interns.
• Partner with internal resources to curate content that raises awareness of Land O'Lakes among students.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field required.
• 3 years in a fast-paced event planning role, preferably in college recruiting or university career services.
• Flexibility to travel to college campuses and events (20-30% travel, especially in the fall and spring).
• Strong planning, communication, and customer service skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects.
• Experience managing and executing various events simultaneously.
• Confidence in presenting or leading training sessions.
