About the position

At HNTB, we are looking for an intern to join our Project Finance team, where you will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that impact communities across the country. This position is designed for individuals who are currently enrolled in a related undergraduate or graduate program and are eager to gain hands-on experience in project finance activities. You will be working under the guidance of experienced finance professionals who partner with Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle, focusing on key areas such as project earnings, contracting, delivery, and cash management. As an intern, you will perform a variety of routine and semi-routine tasks that are essential to the financial aspects of project management. Your responsibilities will include preparing reports, tracking and evaluating project results, coordinating program developments, and handling routine inquiries. You will also participate in meetings, assist management in analyzing various data, and work on special projects that may require research and data analysis. This role is based in our Chelmsford or Boston, Massachusetts office, and it is important to note that relocation and housing are not provided for this position. This internship is an excellent opportunity for you to develop your skills in project finance while contributing to the success of HNTB's infrastructure projects. You will gain valuable insights into the financial operations of large-scale projects and have the chance to work alongside a team of dedicated professionals who are committed to delivering high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of tasks specific to project finance activities such as preparing reports and tracking results.
  • Coordinates program developments and handles routine inquiries.
  • Participates in meetings and interfaces with various teams.
  • Assists management in analyzing various data related to projects.
  • Works on special projects and provides research as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent plus enrolled in a related undergraduate or graduate program.

  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to prioritize work and multi-task effectively.
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal).
