The State Employees' Credit Union (SECU) is seeking motivated individuals who believe in the credit union philosophy of "People Helping People" to join our team as interns for the Summer 2025 semester. This internship program is designed to provide project-based learning and real-world experience to rising Sophomore, Junior, Senior, and Graduate students. Interns will have the opportunity to enhance their professionalism, gain entry-level investment services experience, and receive mentorship from a designated resource within the department. This is a paid internship opportunity that aims to identify early talent with the goal of converting interns into part-time or full-time roles at SECU. Interns will be responsible for conducting assigned project-based research and presenting their findings to leadership at the conclusion of the program. They will obtain entry-level exposure to the functions of building a next-generation analytical platform and modeling framework. Additionally, interns will perform various administrative duties, including mailings, imaging documents, and other clerical tasks as assigned. Collaboration with internal coworkers and departments across the organization will be essential to aid in the research and development of projects. Interns will also assist in developing industry-leading credit default models and provide clear and insightful analytic modeling results, feedback, and interpretation through written analysis and/or oral reports to various involved business units.
