About the position

As a Data Visualization Analyst Intern at Micron Technology, you will play a crucial role in developing innovative dashboard designs and data analytics solutions. This position focuses on creating user-friendly dashboards that effectively communicate insights to end users, leveraging industry standards and user feedback. Your work will contribute to how the organization visualizes and interprets data to drive decision-making, while also exploring automation solutions for recurring processes.

Responsibilities

• Understand user insights for skill proficiency dashboards and recommend improvements.
• Identify gaps in available insights from dashboards and suggest enhancements.
• Analyze dashboard usage to identify areas for improvement.
• Conduct external benchmarking to gather insights and reference quality dashboard templates.
• Design mockups in Tableau/Power BI or create visuals using PowerPoint/Photoshop.
• Explore automation opportunities using tools like Generative AI, Power Automate, and Python.
• Establish a shared data repository for semi-structured data with live data connection.

Requirements

• Near completion of an undergraduate degree or degree-seeking master's level in Business Intelligence, Business Analytics, Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Experience in creating visuals from data sets through coursework.
• Proficient in written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in O365, Sharepoint, Tableau or Power BI.
• Familiarity with agile/backlog management tools like Azure, Jira, or Confluence preferred.
• Some experience with programming or automation software (e.g., UI Path, Power Automate, VBA) preferred.
