About the position

As a Data Visualization Analyst Intern at Micron Technology, you will develop and deliver innovative dashboard designs and data analytics solutions. This role involves organizing data architecture and exploring automation solutions for recurring processes. You will leverage your academic knowledge and collaborate with in-house experts to create user-friendly dashboards that effectively communicate insights, forming the foundation for data visualization and decision-making within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Understand user insights for skill proficiency dashboards and recommend improvements.
• Identify gaps in available insights from dashboards and suggest enhancements.
• Analyze dashboard usage to identify areas for improvement.
• Conduct external benchmarking to gather insights and reference quality dashboard templates.
• Design mockups in Tableau/Power BI or create visuals using PowerPoint/Photoshop.
• Explore automation opportunities to streamline processes using tools like Generative AI, Power Automate, and Python.
• Establish a shared data repository for semi-structured data with live data connection functionality.

Requirements

• Near completion of an undergraduate degree or degree-seeking master's level in Business Intelligence, Business Analytics, Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Experience in creating visuals from data sets through coursework.
• Proficient in written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in O365, Sharepoint, Tableau or Power BI.
• Familiarity with agile/backlog management tools (e.g., Azure, Jira, Confluence) preferred.
• Some experience with programming or automation software (e.g., UI Path, Power Automate, VBA) preferred.
