About the position

The Molina Healthcare Internship Program aims to provide students with a steppingstone into the healthcare business profession. Interns will engage in special projects and various duties that offer valuable professional work experience and industry insight. This role involves working closely with the Senior Leadership team to implement new contract awards effective January 1st, 2026, and will provide exposure to health plan operations, ensuring that over 90,000 Nevadans receive necessary care to improve health outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in executing the implementation of new contract awards with the Senior Leadership team.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key business leaders, community-based organizations, and healthcare providers.
  • Support efforts to address health equity and connect members to necessary resources and services.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and participate in enrollment and community-based events.
  • Learn and apply Molina Healthcare member engagement practices, including delivering presentations and distributing educational materials.
  • Identify and promote Molina's programs in the community and create opportunities for employee participation.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program as a freshman or sophomore with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Public Service, Marketing, Public Affairs, Public Policy Administration, General Business, or Communications.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to develop relationships.
  • Good time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer experience with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, along with internet research skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • Ability to synthesize information and data into meaningful summaries.

Benefits

  • Hourly pay range of $20.29 - $21.66.
