About the position

The Molina Healthcare Internship Program aims to provide students with a steppingstone into the healthcare business profession. Interns will engage in special projects and various duties designed to offer valuable professional work experience and insights into the healthcare industry. The internship focuses on developing talent through experiential learning, formal training, and opportunities to interact with healthcare professionals and community leaders, allowing interns to gain a deeper understanding of Molina's culture, mission, and values.

Responsibilities

  • Learn Molina HCS Medicaid business and the customers served in Ohio
  • Learn HCS platforms, SharePoint, and corresponding business processes
  • Work closely with a team of Care Coordination, Population Health, and Utilization management SMEs and leaders
  • Assist with SharePoint review, editing, organizing, and page development
  • Assist with review and updating of training materials and research new topics in all HCS areas
  • Support and assist with cost of care initiatives

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program as a freshman or sophomore
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Public Service, Marketing, Public Affairs, Public Policy Administration, General Business, or Communications
  • Clear and professional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivated
  • Good time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Computer experience including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information and comply with HIPAA regulations
