As an Intern - Hardware Product Engineer at Micron Technology, you will play a crucial role in evaluating the signal integrity of memory module hardware. This position involves working with PC systems, evaluation/test platforms, and oscilloscopes to provide timely feedback and debugging on initial circuit designs. You will conduct failure analysis on board-level designs, PC systems, and platforms used for testing, ensuring that the hardware meets the required specifications and performance standards. In collaboration with Simulation Engineers, you will develop methods for correlating measurements to initial design simulations. Your responsibilities will also include characterizing active components such as switching regulators, power management integrated circuits (PMICs), register clock drivers (RCD), and thermal sensors. You will provide hardware design input, including active component selection, and develop test methods to measure, characterize, evaluate, and quantify active component performance on module designs and evaluation platforms. Additionally, you will be tasked with developing methodologies to measure and benchmark module performance on PC systems and module testers. This includes creating processes and procedures to test components and providing input for the continuous improvement of these processes. You will assist in the development and modification of software to enable performance testing and provide schematic and layout knowledge for developing verification lab hardware. Working closely with component vendors, you will review plans and reports, attend module design reviews, and mentor design leads regarding the verification of modules.
