About the position

The User Research Intern at Dexcom will play a crucial role in conducting product research to guide the development of innovative solutions for diabetes management. This internship is part of a 12-week summer program aimed at nurturing the next generation of talent while providing meaningful contributions to key company projects. Interns will work closely with various stakeholders to gather insights into customer behavior and needs, ultimately helping to create impactful products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct primary user research to gather insights from patients, family members, and healthcare providers.
  • Utilize various research methodologies including interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
  • Analyze and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to inform product development.
  • Collaborate with Designers, Product Managers, and other teams to understand research needs.
  • Present research findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Completed Bachelor's degree.
  • Currently enrolled in a Master's, JD, or PhD program in Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in conducting user research, including recruiting, moderation, analysis, and report writing.
  • Familiarity with a broad set of user-centered research methods such as A/B testing, focus groups, and usability testing.
  • Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with mixed method research.
  • Knowledge of competitive assessments and diary studies.
