About the position

This internship position in the Professional Services division at NISC focuses on providing customer support related to the Financials solution. It is an entry-level role that involves moderate customer interaction and requires strong communication skills for effective documentation and customer engagement. The internship is designed for Summer 2025, providing an opportunity for students pursuing a business-related degree to gain practical experience in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provides superior customer support to internal and external customers in all encounters.
  • Responsible for email communication with external customers.
  • Assist with Enterprise Solutions NISC Community posts.
  • Follow up with Member/Customers on requests and procedures.
  • Assist with mass communications to Member/Customers.
  • Assist with the software release process.
  • Gather, maintain, and audit Member information in the configuration database.
  • Convey customer feedback to product development staff as appropriate.
  • May assist in other areas as needed.
  • Participate in testing of new product development or enhancements and documentation.
  • Assist in reviewing system and training documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of Project Management processes and theory.
  • Basic knowledge of Service Level Management (SLM) best practices.
  • Basic knowledge of the Utility or Telecom industry.
  • Familiarity with other integrated applications and services.
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation and training skills.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and ability to deal effectively with Member/Customers.
  • Excellent research and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong PC skills.
  • Ability to effectively lead, influence, and teach others.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to interact positively with internal and external contacts.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves
