About the position
This internship position at Compeer Financial is designed for students pursuing a degree in agriculture, business, or a related field. The intern will work closely with the Crop Insurance sales team to assist in processing and servicing clients regarding multi-peril crop insurance and other related policies. This paid internship requires the intern to provide their own housing and transportation, while business-related expenses will be covered by the organization. The internship will run full-time through the Summer of 2025, with opportunities to engage with clients and collaborate with underwriters and the sales team.
Responsibilities
- Develop an understanding of crop insurance products and risk management strategies.
- Provide support to the sales team and interact with clients in various settings.
- Collaborate with AIP underwriters and the insurance sales team to review documents.
- Scan completed documents into the document management system and file them appropriately.
- Perform data entry into AIP systems.
- Protect client confidentiality and maintain the integrity of client data.
Requirements
- Pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree in agriculture, business, or a related field.
- Knowledge of agriculture and agricultural operations is preferred.
- Efficient, accurate, and detail-oriented.
- Proficient with Microsoft applications and other technology.
- Ability to deliver high-quality products and services.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
