About the position

The Intern, IT Solutions for Risk Management role offers a unique opportunity for undergraduate students to gain hands-on experience in the field of Risk Management Technology Solutions within the Financial Services industry. Interns will be integrated into a diverse team of professionals, collaborating closely with senior risk team personnel, business managers, and Information Technology teams. This role is designed to help interns understand the intricacies of business operations and dynamics while contributing to the development of technology solutions aimed at analyzing, monitoring, and managing various risks associated with the business. Interns will engage in a variety of activities, including requirements analysis, solution design, testing, technical documentation, and system data management. They will assist in the development of tools and systems that support activities to minimize the company's exposure to risk, while also building and maintaining new processes. This internship is particularly focused on providing a comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle, although no programming experience is required. This internship is part of the 2025 Summer Internship program and is specifically targeted at undergraduate students who are expected to graduate between December 2025 and May 2026. The position is located in Boston, MA, and applicants should be aware that the internship program does not offer relocation assistance. Responsibilities

  • Participate in various risk management projects and initiatives
  • Execute ad hoc reporting to facilitate senior and executive management reporting and status updates as needed
  • Lead, support, and develop short-term projects
  • Support the development of risk management technologies including all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at a University or College
  • Major or minor focus in business, finance, Information Technology, or similar
  • Expected graduation date between December 2025 - May 2026
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00
  • Expertise in delivering high quality work products, reflecting attention to detail and analytical process
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with senior leaders across departments
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex concepts, including global business and regulatory matters
  • Ability to adjust to new developments/changing circumstances
  • Self-directed, self-motivated with demonstrated experience providing ideas and solutions to further business understanding
  • Ability to work in an environment that supports employees from all backgrounds and fosters an environment of inclusion.
