About the position

The Logistics Industrial Engineer internship at Volvo Group is designed for students to apply their academic knowledge in a practical setting, gaining hands-on experience in logistics and engineering. Interns will work on significant projects that enhance plant production capabilities and contribute to sustainable transport solutions. This role emphasizes skill development, professionalism, and collaboration with experienced staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update Logistics KPI's, reports, and systems to support and enhance plant production capabilities.
• Convert custom mathematical functions from Excel workbooks (including VBA macros) for use in Power BI and Qlikview/Qliksense.
• Utilize SQL proficiency to extract data sets and integrate the data into modelling software such as Power BI and Qlikview/Qliksense.
• Support Lean Material Flow initiatives by developing and maintaining data-driven reporting systems.
• Record, analyze, and evaluate issues affecting the timely delivery of parts and inventory levels; report on trends and other data utilized in root cause analyses.
• Follow up on internal requests/layout changes.
• Assist in calculating Man Power and equipment requirements for logistics operations.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree and remain fully enrolled in the program during the duration of the internship.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75.
• Proficiency in SQL, VBA, Power BI, and Advanced Modelling.
• Advanced skill in Office 365 tools including Microsoft cloud services.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge and competency in Qlikview/Qliksense is a plus.
• Preferred degrees include Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business.
• Motivated Junior or Senior in good academic standing.
