About the position

The internship position focuses on supporting the logistics area through process improvement and efficiency projects. Interns will engage in practical experiences, contributing to the analysis, creation, and implementation of projects that align with cost and efficiency targets using Value Added Production System (VPS) methods. This role emphasizes active participation and personal growth within a dynamic learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support logistics areas by improving running performance through efficiency and process improvement.
  • Introduce efficiency projects to help meet and exceed targets, including handling costs, headcount, and logistics cost reduction.
  • Implement Quality and Safety Improvements, and eliminate waste and weaknesses within processes.
  • Support the running of reports to analyze logistics KPIs based on performance and targets, as well as vendor requests.
  • Collaborate with other TX-160 Team Members on Safety and Finance topics as needed.
  • Work alongside a Process Improvement Specialist in a designated area in Logistics and manage small projects for process improvement.
  • Collect and analyze data for warehouse processes, including exporting data from SAP and KPI dashboards.

Requirements

  • Education: degree focused on logistics related to process improvement and data analysis in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient skills in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to collect and analyze data using advanced Excel formulas.
  • Problem-solving skills to aid in process analysis and project management.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in both team and individual environments.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at the time of application.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week).
  • Must attach a copy of unofficial transcript.
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
