About the position

The PI Engineering intern will support engineering studies and projects aimed at enhancing safety, product quality, and production efficiency within the manufacturing process. This role involves collaboration with engineering and production teams to develop optimal processes and assist in troubleshooting, as well as contributing to training and documentation efforts.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, conduct and/or assist with engineering studies/projects for new processes, process changes and improvements.
• Work with engineering and production to develop optimum processes and assist with troubleshooting.
• Develop and improve manufacturing methods utilizing knowledge of product design, assembly techniques, and quality controls.
• Assist in the development of training and provide training to production personnel during new technology transfer.
• Create or assist in creating process flow charts, documents and process sheets.
• Communicate with production staff, coworkers, vendors, and engineering teams.
• Characterize support on PTFE and FEP process development.
• Develop job aids that include tooling, fixtures, 5S tools and procedures.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering principles.
• Strong communication skills to interact with various teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with process flow chart creation.
• Familiarity with PTFE and FEP materials and processes.
• Knowledge of quality control methods and techniques.
