About the position
The Process Engineering Intern at Fluor will provide technical support to the job site, assisting craft and staff to meet project requirements. This role involves performing various construction engineering assignments under the supervision of a construction engineer or survey party chief, with opportunities for independent judgment and learning across multiple engineering disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance to craft and staff to fulfill project requirements.
- Perform various assignments of a construction engineering support nature, both technical and clerical, under general supervision.
- Assist in several engineering disciplines as required.
- Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A combination of education and directly related experience equal to two (2) years.
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
- Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a time-conscious manner.
Nice-to-haves
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Typically has one (1) year of field construction experience.
- Ability to speak/read multiple languages.
- Basic computer and software skills including word processing, email, and spreadsheets.
