About the position

Zions Bancorporation is seeking a highly motivated Project Analyst Intern to join our Digital Banking team for the summer of 2024. This paid internship will run from mid-May to mid-August and is designed for students pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Business Information Systems, or a related field. The internship is not eligible for relocation assistance, and local candidates are preferred. As a Project Analyst Intern, you will work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment where you will have the opportunity to contribute to the success of our Digital Banking initiatives. You will be part of a team dedicated to delivering results and supporting program objectives. Your role will involve administering and executing Project Management Office (PMO) related processes, understanding project management methodologies, particularly agile, and utilizing tools such as Excel, Microsoft Project, and Visio. In this role, you will collect and summarize program data from various sources, analyze this data, and make recommendations for improvement. You will also be responsible for developing and distributing reports to partners and stakeholders based on program data. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project management while contributing to meaningful projects that impact our customers and the communities we serve.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and execute PMO (Project Management Office) related processes.
  • Understand project management methodologies, specifically agile.
  • Work with tools such as Excel, Microsoft Project, and Visio.
  • Organize and communicate project-related details to team members.
  • Collect and summarize program data from systems, reports, and other information sources.
  • Analyze data and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on all assignments.
  • Develop and distribute reports to partners and stakeholders based on program data.

Requirements

  • Must be working toward a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and contribute within a team environment.
  • Proven experience in implementing processes or process improvements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with additional project management tools will be helpful but not a necessity.
