About the position

Skanska is seeking a Project Engineering Intern to support various engineering functions within the construction industry. This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals pursuing a career in construction management or engineering, allowing them to gain hands-on experience while working under the mentorship of experienced professionals. The intern will assist Project Managers and Superintendents on assigned projects, contributing to the successful execution of construction activities that positively impact society and the environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support Project Manager and Superintendent on assigned projects.
• Perform routine daily activities under direct supervision.
• Gather and distribute project-related information.
• Coordinate project activities with supervision from the Project and/or Operations Manager.
• Perform accounting activities with assistance as needed.
• Assist in estimating functions as requested.

Requirements

• Knowledge of basic phases of construction projects.
• Understanding of mathematics functions (geometry, basic algebra).
• Proficiency in computer skills (MS Office, HCSS, CGC, etc.).
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients, subcontractors, and other third parties.
• Ability to present information clearly in both written and verbal form.
• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
