About the position

The Undergraduate Intern position at General Atomics offers an opportunity for students in Business, Supply Chain, or Procurement to gain practical experience within the Contracts and Procurement team. The role involves assisting with day-to-day activities, problem-solving, and report development while adhering to company regulations and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the day-to-day activities of assigned functional area under general supervision.
• Assists in applying knowledge to analyze, investigate, and resolve problems.
• Helps in developing electronic and hard copy reports, records, diagrams, and charts.
• Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations during business operations.
• Expected to work safely in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Requirements

• Active enrollment as an undergraduate student at a recognized college or university.
• Applicants must plan to continue in a graduate program immediately after the internship if they complete their undergraduate degree before the internship begins.
• Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Ability to understand new concepts and apply them accurately.
• Ability to follow general and detailed instructions as well as organizational policies and procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with internal professionals.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Benefits

• Hourly pay rate of $22.00 - $24.00/hr depending on field of study and college years completed.
• Salary range of $38,230 - $56,838.
