About the position

The Molina Healthcare Internship Program is designed to provide students and alumni with experiential learning opportunities in the healthcare business profession. This internship focuses on quality improvement initiatives within the Senior Whole Health division, allowing interns to gain hands-on experience while being mentored by professionals in the field.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a variety of Quality projects and meetings to understand healthcare quality initiatives.
• Support key quality strategies, including outreach calls for screening reminders and confirmation of home kit delivery.
• Assist with community health events, which may require some onsite travel.
• Attend departmental Quality staff meetings and smaller workgroup meetings to learn about Quality Improvement strategy.
• Document minutes for meetings and assist with other tasks, duties, projects, and programs as assigned.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program as a freshman or sophomore with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Population Health, or Public Health.
• Demonstrated solid writing experience.
• Operational knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Clear and professional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and self-motivated with the ability to develop relationships.
• Good time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information and comply with HIPAA regulations.
