About the position

The Molina Healthcare Internship Program is designed to provide students and alumni with experiential learning opportunities in the healthcare business profession. This internship focuses on quality improvement initiatives within the Senior Whole Health division, allowing interns to gain hands-on experience while being mentored by professionals in the field. Interns will participate in various quality projects, meetings, and educational programs to enhance their understanding of healthcare quality initiatives and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to Quality Interventions and Quality Improvement Compliance.
  • Support key quality strategies including provider, member, and community interventions.
  • Participate in departmental Quality staff meetings and smaller workgroup meetings to learn about Quality Improvement strategy.
  • Assist with documenting minutes for meetings.
  • Engage in non-clinical outreach calls for screening reminders and confirmation of home kit delivery.
  • Outreach to providers for record collection and support community health events.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program as a freshman or sophomore with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Population Health, or Public Health.
  • Demonstrated solid writing experience.
  • Operational knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Clear and professional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivated with the ability to develop relationships.
  • Good time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and comply with HIPAA.
