About the position

The Sales Support Associate Intern at Lumen is a vital role designed to enhance the efficiency and productivity of the sales organization. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sales support, focusing on maintaining internal sales systems and processes while acting as a subject matter expert. The intern will assist in pre and post-sale activities, ensuring accurate project quoting and order support, ultimately allowing sales representatives to concentrate on customer-facing activities.

Responsibilities

• Support pre & post-sale activities around project quoting and order support.
• Act as a subject matter expert for quote creation for sales representatives.
• Manage Salesforce for opportunity value accuracy and reporting.
• Assist with forecasting efforts of the sales team and manage large data sets for customer quoting.
• Facilitate service inventory investigations and expedite sales processes by coordinating with internal groups.
• Provide direct sales support and initiate prospecting campaigns.

Requirements

• Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, with rising senior level education status at the start of the internship.
• Graduating between August 2025 and May 2027.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite; Salesforce experience is preferred.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week during the 10-week program.
