About the position

The American Heart Association is offering a social media internship that provides college students with hands-on experience in a non-profit environment. This role is designed for individuals interested in marketing and communication, allowing them to work with the digital team to create engaging content for social media channels. Responsibilities

• Work with the digital team to craft and execute social media posts for Facebook, X, and Instagram.
• Monitor results of social media content on key platforms and provide analysis of findings.
• Source new content ideas and monitor trends on social platforms.
• Conduct an analysis of what other organizations and brands are doing on social media and present findings to the digital team.
• Learn brand standards and ensure content aligns with the goals and mission of the organization.

Requirements

• Candidates must be seniors or graduate students pursuing a degree in marketing or public health.
• Strong background in social media and graphic design is required.
• Knowledge and experience with social media platforms, including Facebook, X, and Instagram.
• Experience with social media scheduling tools, such as Sprinklr or similar.
• Basic video, graphic design, and writing skills are necessary.
• Experience with social media monitoring, reporting, and analysis is required.
• Effective oral, written, and presentation communication skills are essential.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint is needed.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Canva or similar graphic design tools.
