About the position

The Application Security Intern at Nelnet will work within the Application Security Team, contributing to real projects that enhance the security posture of the company's development processes. Responsibilities

• Assist with real projects within the Application Security Team.
• Support the implementation of the Nelnet Application Security Program.
• Help improve the security posture of the development process.
• Coach development teams on application security topics.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or a related field.
• Interest in Cybersecurity.
• Experience with the software build process and CI/CD.
• Interest in cloud environments such as AWS.
• Experience running open source scanning tools.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working in an agile development environment.
