About the position

The Specialty Testing Lab Intern for Kidney Stones at Labcorp is a part of the Global Internship Program, providing an exciting opportunity for students pursuing a degree in science. This 12-week full-time internship in Itasca, IL, focuses on project-based work within the Litholink specialty testing group, which is dedicated to kidney stone prevention. Interns will gain hands-on experience, professional development, and networking opportunities while contributing to meaningful assignments that support Labcorp's mission to improve health and lives globally.

Responsibilities

• Assist in various research projects related to kidney stone prevention.
• Support project analysis and cost efficiency programs.
• Participate in professional development workshops and networking events.
• Engage in mentoring and job shadowing opportunities.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or related bioscience majors.
• High level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office software.
• Expressed desire to work in a laboratory as a technologist after completing an undergraduate degree.
