About the position

The Guidehouse Internship Program offers a 10-week immersive experience for interns, allowing them to work on real-world projects while gaining valuable consulting experience. Interns will collaborate with teams, deliver real-time results for clients, and participate in various learning and networking activities. Each intern is paired with a Buddy to help navigate their internship journey, ensuring a supportive and enriching environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work on real-world projects alongside teams to deliver client solutions.
  • Participate in learning and development sessions, both e-learning and instructor-led.
  • Engage in performance management activities, including goal setting and evaluations.
  • Attend networking and social activities and events.
  • Contribute to corporate social responsibility initiatives through an intern event.
  • Participate in the Intern Speaker Series.
  • Support active Guidehouse projects.

Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited graduate or undergraduate degree program and graduate between Fall 2025 and Summer 2026.
  • Ability to accommodate an expected Summer 2025 start date.
  • Currently authorized to work in the country without sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge and passion for improving state and local government through academic courses and project work.
  • Preferred degree programs include business, information sciences, public policy, urban planning, data analytics, economics, engineering, and math.
  • Proven success in defining and leading client work, including conducting assessments and managing stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of key facets of state and local government, including sustainability, urban planning, education, housing, transportation, justice, and administration.
  • Core management consulting skills such as project management, financial modeling, and stakeholder management.
