About the position

As a Statistical Process Control Engineering Intern at Micron Technology, Inc. in Manassas, VA, you will support manufacturing areas by developing and implementing Run-to-Run (R2R) control solutions aimed at improving process capability. The role involves monitoring and identifying process control improvements using statistical process control knowledge, collaborating with Process Engineering and Process Integration to optimize control methodologies and enhance process control.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of Run-to-Run (R2R) control solutions.
• Monitor and identify process control improvements using statistical process control knowledge.
• Collaborate with Process Engineering and Process Integration to develop optimized control methodologies.
• Analyze semiconductor process flows and apply control theory knowledge.
• Utilize scripting knowledge in SQL, Python, or other languages for data analysis.
• Employ data visualization tools to present findings and improvements.

Requirements

• Understanding of semiconductor process flows and control theory.
• Effective scripting knowledge in SQL, Python, or other programming languages.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools.
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of open/closed loop control, model predictive control, and linear & non-linear control systems.
• Understanding of machine learning concepts.
• Knowledge of statistical methods for data analysis.
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) is a plus.
• Understanding of inline defect detection and failure analysis techniques.
• Familiarity with problem-solving methodologies such as 8D and Six Sigma.
• Knowledge of semiconductor metrology and inspection methods.
