About the position

The Intern - Systems Analyst position at Lumen is a 10-week summer internship program designed for rising seniors in college. Interns will work within the ERP Finance Transformation group, focusing on implementing and supporting the Finance area of SAP S4/HANA. This role emphasizes curiosity, innovation, and a passion for technology, providing interns with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in IT analysis and support.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and review system errors using IT knowledge and skills.
• Document complex IT processes and provide resolution recommendations.
• Support billing error resolution, testing of bug fixes, and system enhancements.
• Utilize configuration documents to test various modules of the system and provide insights into training documentation.
• Monitor billing files process within the BRIM system.
• Work on billing file errors daily.
• Handle support tickets for finance users.
• Update account assignment tables within BRIM.
• Research bank posting errors.

Requirements

• Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, with rising senior level education status at the start of the internship.
• Graduating between August 2025 and May 2027.
• Preferred fields include Business, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week during the 10-week program (May 30 - August 8, 2025).
• US work authorization required; individuals needing visa sponsorship are not eligible.
• Proficiency in process documentation, requirements gathering, Microsoft Excel, data entry and management, and GUI-based tools.
• Ability to compare and contrast data elements to identify gaps.
