About the position

The Systems Engineering Intern will support the Systems Engineering team in meeting technical performance requirements for complex system development programs. This internship aims to provide students with hands-on experience in a professional environment, enhancing their academic knowledge and leadership potential.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of SE Managers, SE Technical Directors, and Lead Systems Engineers on various systems engineering activities.
• Review system documentation including system design, requirements specifications, and interface control documents.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and subsystems.
• Conduct limited scope test plans under the supervision of engineers.
• Gather and assemble data for engineers.
• Assist in research in a particular field as required.
• Conduct design analysis and/or calculations under the supervision of engineers.
• Assist engineers with appropriate design details.
• Perform a wide variety of tasks to gain familiarity with the engineering staff, methods, programs, and practices.
• Support, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values, and culture of the organization.

Requirements

• Attending a two-year or four-year college working toward a degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent is required.
• Basic knowledge and familiarity with the use of Matlab and/or Simulink.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Products.
• Coursework in subjects such as Calculus L/LL, Linear Algebra, Complex Variables, Probability & Statistics, and Differential Equations.
