About The Position
The New York Post is currently seeking a Technology Intern to join its dynamic team. This internship offers a unique opportunity for an energetic and independent individual to assist the Head of Technology and Project Leads in managing various operational and project initiatives. The intern will be involved in several exciting projects, including the Sports Plus membership, cyber security and privacy initiatives, data architecture and program execution, and the implementation of a digital asset management platform, among others. This role is designed for someone who is eager to learn and contribute to the fast-paced environment of a leading media organization. As a Technology Intern, you will perform as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the projects you are responsible for, ensuring that all deliverables are met on time and to the highest standard. You will assist with the completion of project deliverables, tasks, tracking, and reporting, while also analyzing reports and managing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in collaboration with Shared IT Services. Additionally, you will manage, track, and report on project budgets, assist with managing IT contracts, and help with IT procurement for both hardware and software. The role requires strong organizational skills and a willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities. You will need to demonstrate the ability to multi-task effectively and work both independently and as part of a team.
