About the position

The Intern Technology Solutions Analyst is a pivotal role within Cotiviti, focusing on researching technologies and their applications to enhance Cotiviti's solutions. This internship is designed for individuals who are currently enrolled in a higher education program, either at the undergraduate or graduate level, with a technology-related major. The intern will report directly to the Director of Platform Strategy and Innovation and will be actively involved in the Innovation and Portfolio Management Center of Excellence (IPM). The primary objective of the IPM Portfolio Prospecting team is to mitigate investment risks while accelerating the delivery of valuable solutions through early exploratory validation and development. This role is crucial in maintaining transparency regarding the strategic environment and ensuring that Cotiviti is positioned with validated long-term pathways to competitive advantage. Interns will engage in various responsibilities, including conducting business analysis of the company's solutions, products, services, and platforms. They will perform in-depth research to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats associated with targeted technologies. Additionally, the intern will be responsible for technical and business writing, which includes drafting white papers and use cases. The role also involves exploratory development, configuration, and engineering of prototype and proof-of-concept (POC) technologies. Interns will have the opportunity to present their project findings and proposals, contributing to the overall innovation strategy of Cotiviti. This position is primarily remote, with a preferred location in South Jordan, Utah, but candidates from across the US are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct business analysis of company solutions, products, services, and platforms.
  • Research the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of targeted technologies.
  • Write technical and business documents, including white papers and use cases.
  • Engage in exploratory development, configuration, and engineering of prototype and proof-of-concept technologies.
  • Present project findings and proposals to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a BS or MS program with a technology-related major.
  • Completed at least 12 credit hours of relevant coursework in a Bachelor of Science program.
  • Basic familiarity with a common programming language such as Python, Java, C++, or JavaScript.
  • Basic familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
  • Strong research and writing skills.
  • Self-motivated and self-organizing worker and learner.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
