About the position

As an industrial engineering intern at Micron Technology, you will have the opportunity to work in one of the most complex fabrication environments in the world. This internship is designed to provide you with hands-on experience in our research and development factory, where you will engage in projects aimed at optimizing our highly automated factory processes. You will be exposed to larger data sets than you may have encountered before, which will challenge and enhance your data management skills. This role not only aims to significantly grow your technical abilities but also to deliver exceptional value to the organization by addressing real issues within our factory operations. Your responsibilities will include identifying key performance indicators that are critical for the success of our research and development programs. You will utilize large data sources to extract and analyze planning data, which is essential for informed decision-making. Additionally, you will build reports using Tableau and other systems to effectively convey data insights to program teams. Another key aspect of your role will be to construct infographics that present key information in a clear and easily understandable format, facilitating better communication across teams.

Requirements

• Skilled in Project and Program Management.
• Understanding of Supply Chain and Manufacturing Operations.
• Ability to code in SQL, Python or similar to execute data extraction.
• Time management and prioritization skills with proven ability to follow basic procedures and work with minimal supervision.
• Advanced communication skills and ability to present effectively to a wide variety of audiences.
• Strong proficiency with Excel, Tableau or other data management and visualization software.
