About the position

As a User Experience intern at Kohler Co., you will engage in developing innovative products that enhance user experience. This role involves understanding consumer needs, creating design solutions, and collaborating with a diverse team of designers, researchers, and engineers. The internship aims to foster creativity and problem-solving while contributing to products that improve gracious living for customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior Human Factor researchers and Industrial designers in developing new products and modifying existing ones.
• Conduct user research for existing products, mock-ups, and prototypes, and participate in design critiques.
• Analyze secondary research such as trend reports, product reviews, and competitive benchmarking.
• Create innovative user interaction designs for products and services.
• Contribute to interaction design, build UX/UI prototypes, and write behavior specifications for product and app UI.

Requirements

• Graduate program or recent graduate (within 1 year) in User Experience Design, Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Ergonomics, Psychology, or a related discipline.
• Relevant work experience in design and research is helpful.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design practices in product design.
• Proficient with design software such as Adobe CC and familiar with UX/UI prototyping tools like Sketch, Figma, Flinto, Principle, InVision Studio, and Marvel.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
