About the position

The internship at Navy Federal Credit Union is designed to provide valuable insights into the organization's business, technology, resources, and procedures. Interns will support focused areas while applying their knowledge and education in a collaborative, team-driven environment. This role involves interacting with multiple departments and receiving guidance and direction from team members and management. Interns will have the opportunity to utilize and further develop their technical and soft skills, business knowledge, analytical techniques, and creative problem-solving abilities. Interns will be responsible for the professional execution of day-to-day tasks and special projects while adhering to established standards, policies, and procedures. They will organize, facilitate, and coordinate project initiatives from inception through implementation under the mentorship of a Project/Program Manager or management. Monitoring projects and programs to ensure adherence to respective methodologies is also a key aspect of this role. This internship is flexible, allowing for full or part-time participation based on the intern's school schedule, and is available year-round.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to assigned department; may work on small projects or portions of larger projects
  • Support business strategy and initiatives within the business unit and/or across the organization
  • Assist and collaborate with various levels of staff to accomplish tasks/assignments
  • Perform research and analysis; may include quantitative and/or qualitative analysis
  • Maintain professionalism in all interactions, placing member service as priority
  • Provide comprehensive day-to-day operational support
  • Provide support in functional areas of the credit union
  • May provide direct member service in high volume situations
  • Process and update data in automated systems; may generate and analyze reports
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing a degree from an accredited college/university
