About the position

The Internal Audit Internship at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital provides a motivated individual with a summer placement opportunity within the Internal Audit department. Interns will collaborate with professionals on various projects, gaining valuable insights and experience in the field of Internal Audit. This full-time internship is designed to be a comprehensive learning experience, allowing interns to develop skills in multiple competencies while working in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for ongoing internal audit projects, including attending meetings with stakeholders and gathering supporting documentation.
• Perform substantive testing, prepare workpapers, and develop recommendations.
• Assist in the end-to-end audit process, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting.
• Assist with the assessment of internal controls and identification of improvement opportunities.
• Engage with the Internal Audit Team and participate in weekly team meetings.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college (entering junior or senior year) or graduate program.
• Candidates from all majors are accepted; an interest in accounting/auditing, business administration, or operations management is preferred.
• Must have a GPA of 3.0 or above, validated by transcripts and communication with an advisor.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.

• Previous internships or work experience in a related field.
