About the position

The Internal Auditor at MVHS plays a crucial role in enhancing healthcare processes and quality systems. This position involves conducting thorough audits of key processes, analyzing complex data, and collaborating with various departments to identify and implement improvements. The auditor will evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions and ensure compliance with quality standards such as ISO 9001, contributing to the overall quality initiatives within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Internal Audits on processes/systems identified via the Quality Management System, root cause analyses, and high-risk processes/systems.
  • Prepare internal audit paperwork that adequately assesses the processes/systems to be reviewed, as per policy.
  • Collect and verify information during internal audits, generate audit findings, and determine audit conclusions.
  • Prepare and distribute written reports for each audit to the appropriate person(s).
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of corrective action plans.
  • Complete Internal Audits and documentation in a timely manner.
  • Assist with the integration of Quality Management & Performance Improvement activities.
  • Work closely with the Process Improvement Specialist to identify necessary Internal Audits and report audit results through the Quality Management System.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 years operations/quality management systems experience.
  • 2 years of experience as an Internal Process Auditor.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements.
  • Understanding of variation analysis and its role in process improvement.
  • Highly proficient with database applications, spreadsheets, and word processing.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to apply the principles and practices of internal auditing procedures.
  • Ability to gather, organize, and present data, analyze complex problems and issues.

Nice-to-haves

  • Healthcare background.
  • Knowledge of Process Management Methodology (Lean/Six Sigma) and principles of Continual Quality Improvement.
  • Lead Auditor experience.
