About the position

The position supports the administration of the company's auditing processes, ensuring that audits consider appropriate risks. Under supervision, the role involves facilitating and participating in the execution of the audit process, contributing to various aspects of auditing including risk assessments and audit programs.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in ensuring audits consider appropriate operational, financial, compliance, fraud, and technology risks.
  • Participates in the execution of the audit process in conformance with the RLI audit methodology.
  • Composes narratives and workflows for audits.
  • Performs walkthroughs as part of the audit process.
  • Composes risk assessments for various audits.
  • Develops and executes audit programs, including the use of data analytics.
  • Works with management to address audit issues and follows up to ensure issues are resolved.
  • Assists with special audit projects and other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree.
  • 2+ years of related experience or equivalent level of education and experience.
  • Ability to use analytical methods in the auditing process.
  • Ability to generate innovative solutions within the auditing process.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet software to summarize and analyze large amounts of data.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Understanding and execution of audit methodology and documentation of audit work.
  • Ability to lead concurrent audit projects with oversight from audit management.
  • Ability to assess inherent and residual risk with limited oversight for planning and reporting.
  • Ability to review the work of others to ensure proper execution of audit methodology.
  • Ability to communicate findings and recommendations to management.
