About the position

The Internal Auditor at Bunnell, Inc. is responsible for administering the quality audit program under the direction of the Quality Assurance Director. This role involves conducting, reporting, documenting, tracking, re-auditing, and closing internal audits, as well as following up on required action plans and corrective activities to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Director of RM/QA to establish an annual internal audit schedule
  • Conduct internal audits according to the approved schedule
  • Document findings and publish an audit report
  • Schedule closing meetings and review findings with the responsible parties
  • Maintain tracking system for internal audits
  • Track and follow up on receipt of corrective action plans
  • Track and follow up on completion of corrective activities
  • Track, conduct, and publish a report for re-audits
  • Furnish, as required, audit schedules and reports such as audit schedule status, open audits, status of re-audits, etc.
  • Furnish reports and information required for Management Review
  • Conduct periodic self-audits of internal audit files
  • Assist Bunnell to promote and improve compliance
  • Support the company quality policy and quality objectives

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Some work experience in a regulated industry or environment
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for internal auditing is preferred
  • Knowledge of internal auditing techniques is preferred
  • A high level of accuracy is required
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Good spelling and grammar skills
  • Organizational skills with the ability to maintain records accurately and legibly
  • Ability to take direction and work independently

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with domestic and international regulations and standards for medical device manufacturing
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for medical device manufacturers in the conduct of internal audits
  • Experience conducting internal audits
  • Experience using software programs for word processing, tracking internal audits, and publishing reports
  • ASQ Certification: CBA and/or CQA
