We are hiring for an Internal Communications Manager! This position will work with internal stakeholders, lead the development, management and execution of internal communication initiatives and processes including internal story/curation/capture, content creation, and tracking/metrics with the goal of reaching all National Vision internal audiences with key messages/information across brands, locations and functions. The Internal Communications Manager will lead the development and execution of internal communications strategy and processes that engage associates and optometrists across all brands, locations and functions, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and values. This role will work with stakeholders to identify, plan, develop and execute a corporate content calendar for all internal communications vehicles across the organization, such as the intranet, weekly mailings, and emails. Collaboration with the Communication Director and the External Communications Manager is essential to ensure a cohesive communications plan is in place for both internal and external channels for all company initiatives. The manager will develop and distribute a variety of content for internal channels, lead the messaging, presentation development, and content creation for internal monthly and quarterly meetings. Additionally, they will manage the development, execution, and distribution of annual materials/events including partner conferences and field awards books, collaborating with key stakeholders. Working closely with executive leadership, the manager will develop internal communication needs including emails, video messages, and presentations. They will also manage the quarterly employee recognition program, providing day-to-day internal communications guidance and support for internal teams such as Talent Development, Culture, Philanthropy, and DEI. The role requires managing and executing visual storytelling at various locations and managing vendors to execute projects such as video teams and photographers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of internal communications strategy and processes.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify, plan, develop and execute corporate content calendar for all internal communications vehicles.
  • Collaborate with the Communication Director and External Communications Manager to ensure cohesive communications plan.
  • Develop and distribute a variety of content for internal channels.

Requirements

  • 6+ years related experience in internal communications, project management/coordination, and writing/story identification.
  • Experience with production management and vendor relations (preferred).
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and have a high level of discretion.
  • Excellent organization, planning, judgment, and time management skills.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Excellent PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem solver, collaborator and team player.
