About the position

As the Internal Communications Manager at ITT, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the internal communications strategy that aligns with the company's goals and business priorities. Your primary responsibility will be to support the strategy and planning for internal communications, ensuring that information flows effectively to employees across various platforms and channels. You will collaborate closely with business unit and functional leaders to understand their program objectives and key activities, advising them on internal communications that bolster the overall communications strategy. In this role, you will maintain and contribute to the editorial calendar, curating relevant and engaging content that resonates with employees. You will work alongside the Internal Communications team to coordinate and implement integrated change initiatives, employee engagement efforts, and communications projects, including crisis preparedness, key company announcements, and company events. Your ability to manage stakeholders from different countries and business segments will be crucial as you support the rollout of communication plans for unique events such as acquisitions, commercial awards, and ESG messaging and reports. You will also be responsible for monitoring trends, analyzing performance metrics, and generating recommendations to enhance communication effectiveness. Your expertise in distilling complex concepts into clear messages will be essential for both technical and non-technical audiences. This position requires a proactive, organized self-starter who can work independently across multiple workstreams while also being a collaborative team player. Responsibilities

  • Support the strategy and planning for internal communications in alignment with company goals and business priorities.
  • Update internal communications platforms and channels to ensure effective information flow to employees.
  • Collaborate with business unit and functional leaders to understand their program objectives and advise on internal communications.
  • Maintain and contribute to the editorial calendar with engaging content using internal communications channels.
  • Coordinate and implement integrated change initiatives, employee engagement, and communications projects with the Internal Communications team.
  • Support the rollout of communication plans for unique events, including acquisitions and ESG messaging.
  • Manage stakeholders across different countries and business segments effectively.
  • Monitor trends, analyze performance metrics, and generate recommendations to enhance communication effectiveness.
  • Distill complex concepts into clear messages for diverse audiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant communications experience.
  • Proficient in the production and use of multimedia (graphics, videos, still photos).
  • Proficiency in utilizing social media tools such as LinkedIn.
  • Expert writing and editing skills with a focus on delivering defect-free content.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Highly organized self-starter capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in content strategy and content development.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability to change and openness to feedback and new information.
