About the position

The Internal Communications Manager at Charter Schools USA (CSUSA) is responsible for developing and executing internal communications plans that align with the organization's Mission, Values, and Promise (MVP) initiative. This role is crucial for enhancing employee engagement and ensuring effective communication across the educational network. The manager will collaborate with senior management and HR to create communication materials, oversee key initiatives, and support managerial communications, ultimately fostering a well-informed and motivated workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation and execution of an innovative internal communications plan.
  • Ensure all communications reflect CSUSA's MVP principles.
  • Work closely with senior management and HR to develop internal communication materials.
  • Manage the creation and distribution of recruitment marketing collateral.
  • Oversee key communication initiatives and maintain a comprehensive annual communications calendar.
  • Spearhead communication campaigns for major organizational changes.
  • Coordinate and publish engaging company-wide newsletters and updates.
  • Equip managers with effective tools and templates for clear messaging.
  • Organize training and resources to improve managerial communication skills.
  • Assist in organizing and executing all-hands meetings and town halls.
  • Coordinate small, cross-functional project teams for communication initiatives.
  • Identify and evaluate effective communication and engagement opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • A verified history of implementing communications plans.
  • Ability to take initiative and be hands-on with preparations and logistics.
  • Comfort and competence in interacting with C-level executives.
  • Superb writing skills in perfect standard English.
  • Proven experience in managing internal communications within a large organization.
  • Strong understanding of digital communication platforms and content management systems.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills for collaboration with managers.
  • Ability to strategize and execute multiple projects under tight deadlines.
