About the position

The Ambulatory General Internist position at Bassett Healthcare Network involves providing comprehensive medical care to patients aged 18 and above within a rural integrated health care system. The role includes clinical teaching, administrative responsibilities, and collaboration with a dedicated nursing and administrative staff. The position offers a supportive environment with technological and subspecialty resources, as well as a faculty appointment from Columbia University, allowing for daily interaction with medical students and residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care for patients aged 18 and above.
• Manage a maximum of 8 patients per 4-hour session, with 9 sessions per week.
• Participate in clinical teaching in General Internal Medicine and/or Geriatrics.
• Engage in protected administrative time on Wednesday mornings.
• Provide secondary call coverage with a first call system in place.

Requirements

• MD, DO or MBBS degree required.
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
• New York State Licensure required.
• BLS Certification required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a Patient-Centered Medical Home environment.
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR system.
